翻譯碩士在醫(yī)學(xué)文章中的翻譯
Available的基本詞義為：“可用的；可得到的；有效的”。在句中常作表語用，也可作前置或后置定語。其用法雖不難，但在譯成漢語時詞義常常要加以引申�，F(xiàn)列舉一些例句，試譯如下：
一、譯成“可用的”、“適用的”、“可供……之用”，其后常跟介詞for或to
1，This drug is available for both oral and parenteral administration.
本藥可供口服或注射用。
2，A doctor has a wide range of therapeutic measures available to him.
醫(yī)生有各種各樣的治療措施可以采用。
3，The serum is available to the general public now.
血清現(xiàn)在已可供大眾使用。
二、譯成動詞“獲得”，“得到”
1，No assessment of the patient condition is available before the clinical experiment is over.
在臨床試驗結(jié)束之前，無從獲得對患者病情的估計。
2，Only now are data on sociaoeconomic status and cancer incidence becoming available from the Third National Cancer Survey.
直到現(xiàn)在，才從第三次全國癌癥普查中得到社會經(jīng)濟(jì)狀況與癌癥發(fā)病率關(guān)系的資料。
三、意為“提供（的）”、“供應(yīng)（的）”，但常不譯出，尤其在藥物說明書中
1，This drug is available either in liquid or in lyophilized form.
本藥備有溶液或凍干品兩種劑型。
2，Dipaxin is available in 5mg. scored tablets in bottle of 100.
（供應(yīng)力的）抗凝劑為五毫克刻痕片。每瓶100片。
3，The polymyxin B sulphate is available as a freeze-dried powder freely soluble in saline solution in vial containing 500,000 units potency.
�。ü⿷�(yīng)的）硫酸多粘菌素B硫酸鹽為凍干粉末，可任意溶于鹽溶液中，每小瓶含五十萬單位（效價）。
四、作某些名詞的定語時，可譯成“現(xiàn)有的”
1，The cost of prevention medicine keeps it from being widely applied, yet available statistics justify the validity of preventive efforts in certain specific diseases.
預(yù)防醫(yī)學(xué)耗資巨大，使其無法推廣，但現(xiàn)有統(tǒng)計資料證明對某些疾病的`預(yù)防措施是確有成效的。
2，Although presently available therapeutic interventions are, as a rule, successful in suppressing isolated, acute episodes of VT (ventricular tachycardia), long range suppression of ventricular ectopic arrhythmias is more difficult.
雖然用現(xiàn)有的治療方法抑制單獨的室性心動過速急性發(fā)作通常是成功的，但是要長期抑制室性異位性心律失常則比較困難。
五、可譯成“有效的”
The tablets are available for the prevention of anginal attack.
本藥片對預(yù)防心絞痛發(fā)作有效。（或譯為：本藥片可用于預(yù)防心絞痛發(fā)作。）
六、譯成“可以找到”、“在場”，這時常以人為主語
If the doctor had been available, the child would not have died.
假如當(dāng)時找到醫(yī)生的話，這個孩子本來是不會死的。
七、譯成“準(zhǔn)備好”
1, Drugs to deal with such a crisis should always be available during the injection of myodil.
在注射碘苯脂期間，一定要準(zhǔn)備好應(yīng)付這種危急情況的藥物。
2，Laboratory facilities must be available to perform such tests.
進(jìn)行這樣的檢驗，必須準(zhǔn)備好實驗室設(shè)備。
