　　customarily, a gift of silver is given on the twenty-fifth anniversary. we observe that custom, and would like to present a pair of silver ‘jeou’ cups to honor your marriage. with these cups, i'm sure your marriage will always be in a high ‘spirit'

　　3.在這種紀(jì)念典禮上幾乎多半祝賀當(dāng)事者婚姻的“漫長”和“久遠(yuǎn)”，不過切忌使用“l(fā)ong”或“old”之類的字眼。尤其在崇尚“年輕”文化的歐美，“old”屬負(fù)面形象。因以“enduring”（持久）等詞來為“老舊”的婚姻事實(shí)賦予光明的形象。
