The whole bus is filled with the black smoke. While the other one is a female, who is sitting in front of the man and covering her nose with a tissue to prevent the harm of the secondhand smoke. There is no doubt that the picture implies that the secondhand smoke exists everywhere and it is hazardous.
This phenomenon has an undesirable impact on our daily life. Firstly, it does harm to and sacrifices our physical and mental health. What’s worse, it is the main cause of lung cancer and about 10% people die of it every year. In addition, our environment and ecosystem will be severely polluted and thus it hinders our sustainable and scientific development. Were the situation to continue, we would pay a high price.
Accordingly, it is imperative for us to take drastic and effective measures to control this situation. 二、主題寫作活動(dòng)的定義及概述
主題寫作活動(dòng)是以一定的話題為中心,以單元目標(biāo)語言為依托,圍繞單元目標(biāo)詞匯和語言結(jié)構(gòu)展開的話題性寫作活動(dòng)。在課堂教學(xué)實(shí)踐中,主題寫作活動(dòng)是以拓展單元目標(biāo)語言為出發(fā)點(diǎn),以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的英語寫作能力為重點(diǎn),以提高學(xué)生的英語寫作能力為重點(diǎn),以提高學(xué)生的綜合語言運(yùn)用能力為目的的寫作活動(dòng)。
主題寫作活動(dòng)是檢驗(yàn)學(xué)生是否理解和內(nèi)化單元目標(biāo)語言知識(shí)的重要而有效的途徑之一,也是實(shí)現(xiàn)語言交際和語言運(yùn)用的途徑之一。主題寫作不僅是基礎(chǔ)性的更是能力性的,要求學(xué)生對(duì)單元目標(biāo)語言進(jìn)行再理解、內(nèi)化、提取和綜合,最終轉(zhuǎn)化為綜合語言運(yùn)用能力。在這個(gè)過程中,教師要給予方法指導(dǎo),幫助學(xué)生再次理解、鞏固單元基礎(chǔ)語言結(jié)構(gòu),全面提升語言運(yùn)用能力。

克隆人是在人類生物學(xué)發(fā)展到今天無法回避的話題,但具有極大爭(zhēng)議性,這種本身有爭(zhēng)議的話題正適合本單元Communication Workshop的寫作要求Learn to write a discursive essay,此文體要求學(xué)生第一段介紹話題,第二三段分述反面觀點(diǎn)及正面觀點(diǎn),最后一段給出個(gè)人觀點(diǎn)。但由于克隆人在現(xiàn)實(shí)世界中還沒有出現(xiàn),同時(shí)又遠(yuǎn)離學(xué)生生活,因此為了給學(xué)生帶來更直觀的感受,教師最好課前布置所有同學(xué)回家觀看電影《逃離克隆島》,這部電影探討了科隆人及其引發(fā)的道德問題。
