凱蒂·佩里（Katy Perry），1984年10月25日出生于美國加利福尼亞州圣巴巴拉，美國流行女歌手、演員兼詞曲創(chuàng)作者。
2007年憑借歌曲《Ur So Gay》成名。2008發(fā)行首張專輯《One of the Boys》。2010年發(fā)行第二張專輯《Teenage Dream》，專輯包括《California Gurls》、《Firework》、《E.T》等歌曲，成為首位在美國公告牌熱門單曲榜中有5首冠軍單曲來自同一專輯的女歌手。2012年發(fā)行專輯《Teenage Dream》的改版專輯《Teenage Dream：TCC》，獲得美國公告牌該年年度女性和全美音樂獎最受歡迎流行女歌手獎。2013年10月22日發(fā)行第三張錄音室專輯《PRISM》。
《Roar》（譯名：咆哮；風格化為“ROAR”）是美國流行女歌手Katy Perry收錄于《PRISM》的首支單曲，由著名音樂制作人Max Martin和Dr. Luke共同進行制作，也是Katy Perry和Bonnie McKee共同合作譜寫的全新音樂作品，于2013年8月12日發(fā)行。這支單曲作為Katy Perry第三張錄音室專輯《PRISM》的首波主打曲，發(fā)行一天后順利登上全球50個國家和地區(qū)iTunes音樂下載榜冠軍。截至2013年10月已在全球92個國家和地區(qū)登上iTunes下載榜冠軍，是Katy Perry有史以來最好的單曲首周成績和在美國首周下載量最高的單曲。同時在美國Billboard單曲榜上榜三周后順利登上冠軍位置，成為Katy Perry職業(yè)生涯的第八支冠軍單曲。
