考研英語中的高頻短語對于考研英語閱讀理解、完形填空等都大有裨益。

1. let go

放手；松手；放開，釋放，發(fā)射；

[例句]Hold tight. I'm going to let go.

你抓緊，我要放手了。

2. live up to

不辜負(fù)；履行；達(dá)到高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)；實(shí)行；

[例句]Sales have not lived up to expectations this year.

今年的銷售額不盡如人意。

3. look down on

輕視；俯瞰（某處）；看不起（某人）；

[例句]I wasn't successful, so they looked down on me.

我一無所成，所以他們瞧不起我。

4. look up to

抬頭看（某人或某物），尊重[敬仰]（某人）；企慕；瞧得起；仰慕；

[例句]You're a popular girl, Grace, and a lot of the younger ones look up to you.
